Bruxelles-Propreté's services during the Tour de France

The “Tour de France” is an event that Bruxelles-Propreté welcomes, but which could cause some disruption to the services it offers to the residents and clients.  Here are some of the measures taken by Bruxelles-Propreté to ensure the best possible service:

Collection of bags from the inhabitants

For 4, 5 and 6 July, bag collections will take place in the municipalities where they are collected on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The inhabitants of these municipalities are therefore invited to abide by the usual rules :

- White and yellow bags: out the day before, after 6pm or in the morning before 5:30am.

- Green and orange bags: out in the morning before 12pm.

Bag collections from retailers (Clients of Bruxelles-Propreté) impacted by the Tour de France

A letter has been sent to the merchants (Bruxelles-Propreté’s clients), concerned by the probable disruptions of the Tour de France, to notify them that the 9:30 am collection will not take place on Saturday 6 July 2019.  They will therefore not be allowed to put out their waste on that day.

We therefore ask these customers to contact our Support Department on 0800/981 81 for any information they deem necessary.

An event of this magnitude can cause unforeseen events.  If some bags cannot be collected, we ask residents and traders to take them back inside and take them out at the next time those bags are collected.

As a reminder, it is strongly recommended that Brussels residents do not travel by car during these four days in the Brussels Region.

Although most Recyparks are open at regular times on 4, 5, 6 and 7 July, access to the Recypark Nord, rue du Rupel (near the Van Praet Bridge, along the canal) in 1000 Brussels, will be particularly difficult on Saturday 6 July due to the closure of some roads.

UPDATE! New information was brought to our attention by the Police services of the Auderghem area on the traffic conditions in the vicinity of the Auderghem Recypark on Sunday 07 July.  On the basis of these new elements, Recypark Auderghem will be closed all day on Sunday, July 07. This closure is beyond our control.

On Saturday, July 6, the following PROXY CHIMIK collection points are cancelled:

- Etterbeek: avenue de Tervueren / avenue de l'Yser (metro Mérode) ; Fernand Demany bridge (metro Thieffry/ Brico)

- Schaerbeek: avenue Urbain Britsiers (Brico side).
