Covid-19: Blue and Yellow Bags are Collected Again

Your Blue and Yellow Bags are Collected Again as of Monday 13 April 2020

The Covid-19 crisis has caused some disruptions in the missions of Bruxelles-Propreté, particularly in the collections of blue and yellow bags.

Further to a reorganisation of collections, which takes into account the new constraints, Bruxelles-Propreté is able to collect most of the blue and yellow bags again. However, for public health reasons, the teams will collect all the waste fractions present on their tour in certain areas. In addition, these collections will take place partly in the afternoon in order to better distribute the work among the teams, to whom we would like to express our warmest thanks.

A majority of the blue and yellow bags will be recycled thanks to this system, which will not impact the habits of the population and who will finally be able to empty rid their homes of their blue and yellow bags.

As of Monday 13 April, the blue and yellow bags will be collected again on the usual days.

We remind you that to facilitate their conservation at home by reducing their bulk, the boxes must be folded and stacked, the papers stored flat (not crumpled). Similarly, plastic bottles and drink cartons should be flattened and closed with their caps.

To facilitate the work of the collection teams, it is paramount to respect the usual rules:

  • Take out your bags on the right day (more information on www.arp-gan.be).
  • Close the bags tightly
  • Place the bags along the facade.
  • Do not exceed 15 kg per bag

The General Management of Bruxelles-Propreté would like to thank their teams, as well as the inhabitants for their flexibility, understanding and collaboration.
